The future of Jane’s relationship with her partner sits on a precipice. To decide their fate sits her partner’s family: a bulldog of a father, an eagle-eyed mother, and an impartial master of ceremonies. For the family, Jane is an outsider and a threat to the family’s historical ideals. To join these potential in-laws, she must impress through a series of bizarre rituals—personal interrogations, reenactments of parenting, and a staged argument that cuts. This one night acts as the conclusive test to decide whether Jane is a worthy addition. We learn how obsession with protecting our loved ones can spiral into mayhem while igniting absurd theatrics and humor.
